Will I actually get to fly the plane?

Yes, definitely! Your instructor verbally guides you through basic controls, turns, climbs, and descents from the right seat. You sit in the left seat as any other pilot would normally and fly the plane for the majority of the time!

Very much so, especially with a certified instructor (CFI) beside you, it's a safe way to experience flying.

How long is the experience?

You'll spend about 30 mins getting familiar with the airplane on the ground. Then you hop inside and take to the skies for 1 hour with your flight instructor. So in total, it's about an hour and a half. You can request a longer duration if requested in advance.

What is a Discovery Flight?

A Discovery Flight allows anyone to go up in an airplane and get exposure to what it's like in the cockpit and flying around. You are given the controls, with the safety of an instructor, and you can perform maneuvers that you'll encounter in training, fly over your house and favorite places in the city, or just get comfortable manipulating the controls of an airplane.
